Nautical Scenes. Erith Marshes demonstrates Haden's move into a bolder style where the openness of line creates a new power of expression. The Breaking Up of the Agamemnon, Haden's most successful plate, blends this openness of line with an excellent sense of harmony and strength to portray the demolition of the 91-gun ship.
