A direct result of the revival of etching was a renewed interest in other media of graphic art as well. Frank Short was responsible for the modern revival of the aquatint and mezzotint, in which domain he held a unique place, being the first to use the mezzotint for original as well as reproductive prints. Moonrise, Ramsgate, A Swiss Pass and Per Horse-Power Per Hour, Whitby Harbour are examples of Short's work in this medium" -- Label copy for University Collection '83, June 17, 1983 to July 17,1983.
