Bound resist turbans are called laheriya ("wave design"). The woven cloth is rolled into a coil, and sections to be resisted are tightly bound. These two pagris, rolled diagonally to produce a striped pattern, remain partially bound. -- Label copy for Courtyard, Bazaar, Temple: Traditions of Textile Expression in India, Belleuve Art Museum, June 12 to July 25, 1982.
