The New Orleanian photographer George Dureau is well known for his photographs of male nudes. Nakedness, according to Dureau, is a universalizing force and has the power to free the subject from a specific time. Glen Thompson (dates unknown) was a model, also from New Orleans, who often worked with Dureau.
