Henry E. Dixey (1859-1943) was an actor, singer, and writer who was best known for starring in multiple Broadway musicals. This photo was possibly taken in 1884 when Dixey was playing the title role in the Broadway hit Adonis, which he co wrote with Edward E. Rice. -- Label copy for Somebody, April 1 to August 3, 2008.
