Laurent took this photograph of the world’s largest Gothic cathedral from a nearby fortified palace, the Alcázar of Seville. The cathedral is known for housing the tomb of Christopher Columbus as well as for its lengthy period of construction, which spanned over a century. It was begun in 1402 and completed in 1520.
