In 1922, Guadalupe Marin de Rivera (?–1981) married the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. She and Rivera had two children before their divorce in 1928. Weston took this photograph of Guadalupe Marin while he was living in Mexico. Weston described Guadalupe as “tall, proud of bearing, almost haughty; her walk like a panther’s, her complexion almost green, with eyes to match.” -- Label copy for Somebody, April 1 to August 3, 2008.
